Section 2 : Scoping The Project (Project Feasibility)

Meeting the client

The client in this case would be me therefore I will not be meeting with anyone since it is for personal gain and would only be beneficial to me

Identifying clients or your previous multimedia experience

This project would both be designed and created by me ,I have previous experience with building sites and creating logos and other aspects related to branding through multiple university projects and units and also through freelance jobs that I have undertaken such as creating logos and assisting in the building of personal sites

Understanding the breadth and depth of the project

LOGO

I have created multiple drawings of how I would like my logo to look but the final design and logo would be completed by Wilson Tavares who I would be collaborating with .He has agreed to create and illustrate my logo digitally so it can be resized and different colour variations can be made using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

THE WEBSITE

I have secured a domain name from www.names.co.uk and hosting with www.portfoliobox.net

The website would be coded and created using code snippets consisting of HTML,CSS and Javascript in addition to other features and layout designs which would be input using a website builder available through portfoliobox.

The images and other graphical aspects would be created and modified using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I currently run a business Instagram account and I have posted regularly since starting this project as it was created around the same time ,I would like to improve this account over time and create a more professional theme and look to it by getting a more professional icon and hopefully gain more followers in the future.

DOMAIN and WEB HOSTING

The domain name for the website will be purchased from names.co.uk and would be connected to portfoliobox which would be where the website would be hosted and i have bought premium membership for both therefore their service would also cover the email and secure socket layering of the website.

Developing a questionnaire (First Level)

1. Who is the target audience of your website?

Businesses ,clients ,employers and anyone else who happen to come across the site , the site would mainly be used to showcase and display my work and also serve as a means to contact and find out more about me

2. What interactive elements should the website include?

The website should contain buttons ,sliders ,and other clickable aspects

3. Will the website need to be updated in the future?

Since this is a personal branding the site would continue to be updated as I complete more pieces of work because as I upload images to Instagram it would also update the feeds on my website and in addition I will add new info to it as I go along (actively updated )

4. How will users find your website?

The website would be able to be found through any search engine or by using a URL ,through search engine optimisation it would be even easier to find it because of the metadata

5. How do you plan to host the website?

The website domain would be www.josh-roberts.co.uk and would be hosted by names.co.uk which would be redirected to portfoliobox.net

6. What will the website’s sitemap look like?

7. What is the colour scheme of your branding?

The colour scheme of my site would be centred around black ,white and gold with some hints of blue. Personal i like darker themes and therefore the lighter colours would mainly be used as highlights for hovering and other interactive elements.

8. Finally, what would you like your website’s overall “feel” to be? What impression should it give on the user?

My site should feel very professional but still maintain consistency through a modern and high quality interface which would be easily navigated through and it should be bug free in order to leave a good impression
